Oh! These comments are such utter nonsense! Such loathing, detestable blasphemy! Where in the world did this level of infidelity, this perverse notion of faith come from? For faith that is perverted is irredeemable and is far worse than unbelief. At least if one has unbelief, there is always the chance that it might be corrected. Whereas faith that is perverted only chance is if the heavenly grace of God Himself were to come down from heaven! Wherefore the blessed Peter addresses Ananias thus: Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5.3), then adds, You have not lied to men but to God (Acts 5.4). Therefore, the Holy Spirit is God who originates from the Father and the Son. They lied about the amount that had been take away from the sale of the land. Now Paul agrees with this and says: you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you (1Cor 3.16). Therefore, the Spirit is God, as I have said before, because people have the temple of God, they are called holy, because He dwells in them. Let’s take the blessed apostle Peter’s testimony as an example. He was deemed worthy to be blessed by the Lord because of what the Father revealed to Him. The Father reveals the true Son to him and, as a result, He is blessed and in this, the Holy Spirit is manifested. So for him, being the first among the Apostles is to have upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it (Matt 16. 18). Now the gates of Hades are the sects and their heresies. In every way, this is the way faith is firmly established where we receive the keys of heaven and what is loosed on earth and what is bound in heaven. It is for this reason that all our delicate questions regarding our faith can be found. For instance, this man, Peter, denied and cursed the Lord three times before the rooster crowed! Showing his emphatic love for the Lord, he confidently said, Even if everyone denies you, I will not deny you! As far as this relates to the human condition (of Christ). This is the one who wept when he heard the rooter crow as he faced the truth of the Lord and it was really happening. Peter’s tears showed he was a true man. He was on the same team as the one who reclined on the Lord’s chest. Now John was the one who learned from the Son, who receiving knowledge and power, and with help from the Father, He laid a firm of faith established in Him. The next time the Lord calls him, he is naked on a boat in Lake Tiberius with the disciple whom Jesus loved. Then Jesus said to them: So Jesus said to them, “Children, you do not have any fish, do you?”And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch.” (Jn. 21.5-6). Then John, whom Jesus loved, said, “Peter, it is the Lord!”, that is, man according to flesh, born of Mary, not just a vague representation of a man but truly as man, but also existing as God/Spirit/Man, coming from the Father in heaven. Peter heard Him say: Peter, feed my lambs, he is the one who was entrusted to protect the flock, the one who was the guiding light in the power of Lord, the one who confesses concerning the flesh of the Lord, the one professing that which he received from the Father concerning His Son, the one who indicates the dignity, splendour and divinity of the Spirit, the one who gives the right hand of fellowship to Paul, Barnabas, James and John, so that it is through three witnesses that the word stands alone.
