It is mentioned in Scripture there are a great many spirits: Who makes his angels spirits, and his ministers a flaming fire (Ps. 104.4 Sept.), as well as Let every thing that has breath praise the Lord (Ps. 150.6). But those who are worthy and have been given with the gift of discerning the spirits.  Some of these spirits are heavenly bodies who take great pleasure in the truth. Others are of this world who are nothing but frauds and full of error. Others are from under the earth, children of the abyss and darkness. It says in the Gospel: They were imploring Him not to command them to go away into the abyss (Lk. 8.31). Christ was commanding the spirits and chasing them out with His word not allowing them to say anything (Mk. 1.34). Moreover, he is named: the spirit of judgment, and the spirit of burning (Is.4.4 Sept.). Continuing in the same manner: the spirit of the world, as it says we did not receive the spirit of the world, as well as the spirit of a man as in (For who among men knows the thoughts of a man) except the spirit of the man which is in him? (1Cor. 2.11), also,  a wind that passes away, and returns not (Ps. 78.39 Sept).  For the wind passes over it, and it shall not be (Ps. 103.16 Sept.), and thou wilt take away their breath, and they shall fail (Ps. 104.29 Sept). In addition, and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets (1Cor. 14.32) and And there came forth a spirit and stood before the Lord, and said, I will deceive him. And the Lord said to him, Whereby? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a false spirit in the mouth of all his prophets (1Kings 22.21-22).  The spirit of slumber is called the spirit of cowardice. Then there is the spirit of false prophecy, spirit of fornication, spirit of the storm, the talkative spirit, the spirit of infirmity, an unclean spirit, the deaf-mute spirit, the spirit of stuttering, and the ferocious spirit called Legion, and the wicked spirits. Let us now follow on now to the numerous parts Scripture that mention the wise sayings of the Holy Spirit. But just as many children who are adopted or are called by name who are not in the truth and are inclined to sin, the fact is they have a beginning and an end, many have still fallen into sin, there are many spirits by adoption or by name who are also sinful. But it is the Holy Spirit who is from the Father and the Son, with titles such as the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of Grace are mentioned. He gives to each one a good gift in a variety of ways, For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues (1Cor. 12.8-10). At the end of it the Apostle says: But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills (1Cor. 12.11). Just like David said, Let Your good Spirit lead me (Ps. 143.10) or, The wind blows where it wishes (Jn. 3.8), His Words show us the Holy Spirit is of the same being (with Jesus Christ), you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit” (ibid). The words unless one is born of water and the Spirit (Jn. 3.5), which Paul similarly says: for in Christ Jesus I became your father (1Cor. 4.15). The Lord says the same regarding the Spirit: “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me (Jn. 15.26) and I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you (Jn. 15.12-15).
